The short answer
Across the US, a standard porta potty with weekly service typically rents for about $150 to $300 a week, according to ZTERS cost data (updated April 2026, checked October 2026). The same source lists New York among the big urban markets that sit at the high end of national pricing, and notes that urban monthly rates can run above $300. So for porta potty rental in Yonkers, plan toward the upper end of each range below. Your unit count, the season, how long you keep the units and how often they are serviced all move the number, so call (914) 635-4437 for an exact quote.

What pushes a Yonkers quote up
The New York metro premium
Labor, fuel, truck insurance, tolls and disposal tend to cost more in the New York area than in much of the country, which helps explain why the source puts big urban markets at the high end, and it is the main reason a Westchester quote rarely lands at the bottom of a national range.
Short rentals
A unit for a single Saturday costs the provider a delivery, a pickup and a full clean, which is most of what a week costs. Expect a one-day price that looks steep next to the weekly rate.
Extra service
Weekly service covers a typical small crew. A bigger crew, longer shifts or a busy event inside the rental period may need a second visit each week, and each extra visit adds to the bill. Under-ordering service is the false economy that makes units unpleasant to use.
Hard placement
Hillside lots, long carries from the curb, units placed in rear yards behind buildings, and sites with restricted truck access can add time to every delivery and service stop. Some providers charge for that; most at least want to know about it in advance.
Winter
Once overnight temperatures drop below freezing, units staying out need winterizing so their tanks can still be pumped. The source puts that at roughly $10 to $20 per billing cycle. Snow that blocks the service truck can also mean a rescheduled visit.
Upgrades
ADA-accessible units, flushable units with sinks, handwashing stations and restroom trailers all cost more than a standard cabin. For a public event, the accessible unit is not optional; build it into the budget from the start.
What can bring the cost down
- Rent by the week or month when the job runs more than a few days.
- Book early for peak dates. ZTERS says booking four to eight weeks ahead in peak season can save 10 to 20 percent.
- Size the order honestly. Too few units means extra service visits; too many means paying for empty cabins.
- Make delivery easy. A flat, firm spot near the curb, a clear route and a contact on the day avoid failed deliveries and return trips.
- Bundle. If you need toilets and a handwashing station, quote them together with one provider.
Worked examples for planning
These are illustrations of how the ranges stack up, not quotes.
A four-week kitchen renovation in a Yonkers two-family. One standard construction unit with weekly service. Using the weekly construction range of $135 to $195, four weeks would plan at roughly $540 to $780 before any delivery, pickup or surcharge, with New York-area pricing likely nearer the top.
A Saturday graduation party in a Crestwood backyard. Two standard units for the day, at $75 to $175 each, plus a handwashing station if food is served. Ask whether a weekend rental (Friday drop, Monday pickup) costs the same as a single day.
A one-day church festival in a parking lot. A cluster of standard event units, at least one ADA-compliant unit at $200 to $275 a week, and handwashing stations near the food. The provider will size the cluster from your expected attendance and hours.
How to get a firm number
Call (914) 635-4437 with the street address, the dates, the expected head count or crew size, and where on the property the unit will stand. We pass that to an independent local provider, who quotes it. Before you agree, check the quote against the list on the units and services page, and read the FAQ if you are not sure how many units you need.
